| Title: Senior Postgres Database Engineer Location: Hoffman Estates, IL 60192 Onsite Either hybrid (3 Days Onsite & 2 Days Remote) Job Description: A Senior/Lead level developer/technical architect with strong software Product Development Background. Should have expert level skills in Postgres Db. i.e., Strong command on Postgres Architecture & its internals like query optimizer (for ex like indexing strategies, parameter tuning etc..), storage system (tablespace management), transaction manager, system catalogs & tables, memory management & connection management. Experience with Linux shell (preferably Ubuntu) & Docker Containers is a must. Design, own & maintain database schema keeping both backward & forward compatibility in view. Should be able to resolve complex problems by investigating and devising solutions for Postgres database operations. May include packaging, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting and maintenance of database management. Must be 100% hands-on with end-to-end Database Development encompassing Database Design and Development working with cross-functional teams.
