Job Description/ Responsibilities Container Engineer

Position Description

The Container Engineering team is looking for a hands-on subject matter expert to provide support for development and operation activities across the enterprise. In this role, you will be responsible in driving out automation capabilities for the full life cycle of infrastructure technologies hosted in the private and public cloud spaces. Design and development of best practices, meeting compliance requirements and internal security policies. Youll work with customers, developers, architects, and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

Developing automation capabilities utilizing Ansible, Python, Terraform, ArgoCD and Gitlab tools to help drive out updated methods for Openshift, EKS, and ECS.

Participate in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy.

Automation of operational tasks. Identify and contribute to automation activities. Implement automation that will support regular operational activities -- patching, health checks, application operational tasks etc.

Enhance the Private Cloud infrastructure to establish self-service capabilities through automation to application teams and owners

Develop and maintain Ally certified EC2 AMIs for the enterprise.

Assist in developing the roadmap for EKS and private cloud infrastructure

Provides technical expertise in the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across the enterprise.

Drive out AI initiatives on and for a number of technologies throughout the enterprise.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science and/or 3+ years in a technical role or equivalent

3+ Years Linux, Windows, Networking, and/ or Storage expert.

Hands on experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon AWS Cloud products

Strong DevOps/ CI/CD process architecture/engineering.

Engineering and architecting enterprise grade solutions for hardware and Software issues.

Familiar with database, middleware technologies

Network familiarity as well as general application delivery and routing concepts.

Strong understanding of load-balancing, DNS, and networking expertise.

Red Hat, AWS, Azure, Google, or IBM Cloud Certified Architect certification.

Automation and management technologies like ArgoCD, Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management, or Ansible by Red Hat.

Version control technologies like Bitbucket and Git (GitHub or GitLab).

Monitoring (APM) technologies such as Dynatrace or Prometheus and Grafana.
