Job Title: Teradata Developer Location: I rving tx (Day 1 Onsite) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Teradata Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Teradata solutions that meet business requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, design robust Teradata-based solutions, and ensure optimal performance and data integrity. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Teradata tools and utilities, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize queries. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement Teradata solutions based on business requirements. Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to understand data requirements. Develop ETL processes using Teradata utilities like BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT. Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading. Perform data profiling, validation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Create technical documentation and specifications. Troubleshoot data and performance issues in Teradata environments. Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Teradata queries and processes. Stay updated with Teradata features, tools, and best practices. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a Teradata Developer or similar role. Proficiency in Teradata SQL, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT utilities. Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques in Teradata. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant Teradata certifications (optional, but beneficial). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other databases and data warehousing technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop). Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Unix shell scripting). Familiarity with data modeling concepts (dimensional and relational).
