Position: AWS Solution Architect Java to AWS migration Location: Fully Onsite (Omaha, NE)- (relocation is an option) Duration: 6 months contract Visa: Only USC/GC Interview: Video/Skype Job Description: Note: We need someone who is an AWS Solution Architect with strong Java background. NOT a Java Architect. They have to have done a Java application migration to AWS. Responsibilities: Migrating Java applications to AWS Proven experience guiding multiple agile development teams and establishing architecture runways. Strong background in software engineering. Comprehensive understanding of business, corporate strategy, processes, enabling technologies, and architectural governance. Ability to provide guidance, estimates, and task definitions to team members. Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Required Experience and Skills: 12 year IT experience - 6+ years performing solution design & system integration. Proficiency in multiple programming languages like Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, bash scripts, and Groovy, with a focus on full-stack development. Mastery of Domain Driven Design and microservice architecture, including REST API design, Event-driven architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, C4 Modeling, containerized workloads (e.g., Docker), and database design. Hands-on experience with ReactJS (preferred) or AngularJS, and modern Java. Skilled in cloud-native architecture and design in AWS. Strong knowledge of event-driven architecture using AWS SQS/SNS, Kafka, or similar platforms. Experience with Agile methodologies like Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum, XP, or Kanban. Salesforce integration experience is helpful. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline with 12+ years of total IT experience OR Masters Degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline with 10+ years of total IT experience.
