The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, specifically with Azure, and expertise in using Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC). The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud environments on Azure. Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain Terraform scripts to provision and manage Azure infrastructure. Implement best practices for IaC and ensure the scalability and reliability of cloud environments. Automate the deployment, configuration, and management of Azure resources. Azure Cloud Engineering: Design and implement Azure cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices. Manage and optimize Azure resources, including virtual machines, networks, storage, and databases. Ensure the security, performance, and availability of Azure environments. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate Azure services into the application lifecycle. Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure infrastructure and services. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance controls within the Azure environment. Monitor and manage security configurations and policies to protect data and applications. Conduct regular security assessments and audits of Azure infrastructure. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide regular reports on the status and health of Azure environments. Stay updated with the latest Azure and Terraform developments and share knowledge with the team. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in Azure and Terraform are a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on Azure. Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code. Strong understanding of Azure services, architecture, and best practices. Skills: Proficiency in writing and maintaining Terraform scripts. Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure. Experience with CI/CD tools and processes. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and other Azure-related tools. Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
