The Role as an Embedded Software Engineer you will be responsible for developing software at various levels across our innovative Trace product line. You will have the opportunity to develop software from firmware to application across custom embedded components and a commercial IoT device. You will also contribute in defining future iterations of the product and will help the team decide what SoC, GPUs and other hardware components we should select to drive product features. Responsibilities: Develop firmware on both custom components and in our IoT device Design the HAL and RTE for our controllers Experiment with innovative hardware to uncover potential features for our product The team is releasing their product to the market! The team will be working with Kroger to develop the new product and assist in the next generation of the product. Typical Day This person would receive a controller (hardware) Work with product team and architects to understand software Participate in consumer feedback conversations Develop code is custom models so that it is available for the consumer immediately. This position is going to be Hybrid following the company Work Appropriate Guidelines Possibility for direct hire or extension for the right candidate This group will not be participating in the Contract Worker Shutdown at least for the 2022 year.
