Must be Systems programming, systems administration, installing & configuration side. Internal Notes this is a top tier client and a long-standing Mainline customer, but our first shot at staffing. On call support will be required for this role. Candidates MUST be willing to provide on call support outside of normal working hours (please know, theyll be paid for their hours at the regular rate or provided comp. time). The Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer/Engineer is responsible for all phases of CICS engineering, system, and software maintenance, and CICS related operation functions. To be considered for this role you must be comfortable working with CICS (and MQ) in an enterprise scale Sysplex and CICSPlex environment. The CICS engineer must have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, as well as in-depth knowledge in CICS performance & tuning, debugging and dump analysis. Required experience : A minimum of ten years working as a CICS Systems Programmer / Engineer Knowledge of all CICS parameters that control performance in a CICSPlex environment. Knowledge of SMP/E, software upgrade and maintenance Must have CPSM experience In depth knowledge of CICS SMF record structure and the CICS Performance Analyzer tool to gather statistics for tuning CICS regions Experience with CICSPlex SM implementation & customization, dynamic transaction routing, etc. Ability to perform problem determination, dump analysis and performance tuning Experienced with the CICS monitoring tools Sysview Knowledge of Cobol to support application developers Experience with Mainframe WebSphere MQ Desired / preferred experience Assembler and COBOL coding and knowledge of CICS Exits Web application support in a CICS TS V5 environment Knowledge of zOS facilities such as: APF, Linklist, VSAM, LPA, Coupling Facility Experience with CICS Interdependency Analyzer tool Working knowledge of the zOS & CICS Explorer Knowledge of Natural language & Adabas Prior Application programming experience Keywords: message queue green card Mainframe CICS Engineer [email protected] |
