Position: Technical Trainer Writer

Duration: 6 Months+

Location: Dallas, TX 

This position will primarily focus on creating, formatting, and updating documentation and training to maximize user adoption of technology systems and processes. With direction from Technology & Customer Project Management Office (PMO) leadership, the Technical Writer will support the implementation of Oncors OCM strategy and methodology for program, project, and other initiatives involving Oncor stakeholders.

Required:

High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Minimum 2 years work experience in communications, training, instructional design, or related field

Ability to follow directions and receive constructive feedback

Advanced verbal and written communication skills

Excellent grammar and attention to detail

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint/Canva

Experience documenting process flows and standard operating procedures

Digitally savvy, self-starter, dependable, and highly motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Ability to shift priorities and adjust focus as needed

Excellent planning, organizational, time management, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills

Experience coordinating and facilitating in-person & virtual meetings/trainings

Preferred:

Bachelors Degree (BA, BBA, or BS), or higher

Proficiency with instructional design methodology (i.e., ADDIE)

Proficiency with industry-standard tools and software for documentation and content development (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator)

Comprehension of organizational change management best practices and concepts

Microsoft SharePoint administrative experience

Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Camtasia)

Experience providing training through digital adoption platforms (e.g., Whatfix)

Familiarity with Atlassian collaboration software (i.e., Confluence, Jira Service Management)

Familiarity with project methodologies (i.e., agile, Kanban)

Analytical mindset and ability to process information using data and technology to develop innovative solutions

Knowledge of technology and electric utility-based concepts including advanced metering, customer information systems, security and networks
