Job Description: PeopleSoft Administrator

Location: Onsite 

We are seeking a skilled PeopleSoft Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining PeopleSoft applications, ensuring their optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role involves working closely with various teams to support PeopleSoft systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration:

Install, configure, and maintain PeopleSoft environments (e.g., HRMS, Financials).

Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including application updates, patches, and upgrades.

Monitor system performance and take corrective actions to ensure high availability and reliability.

Database Management:

Manage PeopleSoft databases, including installation, configuration, backup, and recovery.

Perform regular database tuning and optimization to enhance performance.

Implement and maintain database security measures.

Application Support:

Provide technical support for PeopleSoft applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Work with functional teams to understand requirements and implement system changes.

Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and maintain security protocols and access controls for PeopleSoft systems.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits.

Integration and Development:

Collaborate with development teams to support PeopleSoft customizations and integrations.

Assist in the design and implementation of interfaces between PeopleSoft and other systems.

Support the development and testing of PeopleSoft enhancements and new features.

Disaster Recovery:

Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for PeopleSoft environments.

Perform regular testing of disaster recovery procedures.

Ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in PeopleSoft administration are a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in PeopleSoft administration.

Extensive experience with PeopleSoft 9.x and PeopleTools 8.5x.

Proven track record in managing and maintaining PeopleSoft applications in a production environment.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture, components, and modules.

Proficiency in Oracle database management and SQL.

Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.

Familiarity with PeopleSoft Security, Workflow, and Integration Broker.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Technical Proficiency:

Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Application Server, Web Server, Process Scheduler, and other PeopleSoft components.

Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python.

Experience with monitoring and performance tuning tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or PeopleSoft Certified Administrator.

Additional Experience: Experience with cloud-based PeopleSoft deployments and migrations.
