The Division of Informatics and Information Systems is responsible for the organization, presentation, analysis, and verification of epidemiological health information across the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Analytics and Visualization Specialist will be responsible for data analysis and development of data visualization projects for various communicable diseases, primarily for COVID-19. This position will report to the Division of Informatics and Information Systems (DIIS) Data Analytics Manager. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education Strong data analysis skills in SQL, Tableau, R/Python, and Microsoft Excel Experience working collaboratively with diverse groups and projects with defined timelines Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills Self-starter Preferred Qualifications: Preferred > 2 years experience with Tableau And SQL Familiarity with health/public health data Flexibility to work on multiple projects/issues simultaneously. Knowledge of relational databases.
