Job Posting: SENIOR APPLICATION ARCHITECT Location: Hybrid, Baltimore, MD 2 days a week on-site in downtown Baltimore Type: Contract (6 months+) Start Date: Mid-September 2024 Web Application Technologies: This includes knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular) and backend technologies (such as Java, .NET, Node.js). Duties And Responsibilities: Design and develop e-government solutions; oversee technical design and implementation of architecture. Develop and maintain infrastructure and backend applications. Define the role of broadband and wireless applications in the architecture. Define current State architecture blueprints. Provide expertise with web servers, gateways, application servers, and content management systems. Research and evaluate new technologies and products; recommend solutions. Ensure development efforts align with standards and are well-planned. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and propose solutions. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline; Masters degree preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience designing, building, and implementing IT application systems. Experience as a lead or chief architect in major IT applications implementation efforts. Strong background in software engineering principles and techniques. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Strong business acumen; capable of making and explaining technical decisions. Exceptional multitasking and task management skills; ability to meet multiple deadlines. Outstanding problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Additional Requirements: Minimum 6 years of experience in designing medium to large-scale sites and managing at least five Internet projects.. Must be able to work onsite 40% of the time at the Baltimore City Headquarters or facility based on project needs, with one week per month onsite.
