MySQL DB Administrator Jersey City NJ Hybrid Rate : $50/hr on c2c Responsibilities Implementation, Configuration of MySQL database Collaborate with our Engineering team to define technical infrastructure environments using MySQL. Define and document standards and guidelines. Automate repeatable tasks Coordinate with internal stakeholders; determine requirements and recommend solutions Assist in the development of systems and procedures affecting database management, design and maintenance Evaluate, test and produce recommendations for the selection of DBMS software, data management tools and utilities and replication tools Support problem resolution; consult and advise in application design and tuning; plan, organize and execute product benchmarks for threshold and functionality Provide guidance, upon occasion, for tuning recommendations on Customer applications Provide data administration support of the development and maintenance of production applications Participate in product evaluations, design review session, data requirement meetings and consulting with application development products Performance and Tuning at server and query level Provide production support Review technical documentation to verify compliance with client requirements and established architectural standards and guidelines Participate in 24x7 on-call support for Priority 1 issues Be an escalation resource for Operations team for challenging database-related issues Uphold policy guidelines and recommend new/improved guidelines Research new technologies for MySQL Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform in all of the basic database skills of database administration, overall architecture, and database analysis Ensure a stable and secure database environment Skills Must have Exp range 10 years. Strong MySQL administration. Experience working with DBAs and development teams. Production support or technology administration supporting internal systems. Strong UNIX/LINUX administration skills Experience with Linux Shell scripting Experience with Cloud (AWS/ Azure/ GCP) Experience with Database Clustering Shell Scripting Experience working in an Agile environment Experience with developing automation scripts Experience with other database technologies (noSQL, memcache, redis, RDS, Cassandra, etc.) Nice to have Insurance domain exp. MYSQL Database certification (optional but preferred). 2. Middleware Administrator Jersey City NJ (hybrid) Rate: $50/hr Responsibilities Lead the implementation of WebSphere and WebSEAL Web Archives deployments and automation. Provide on-call support on rotation basis Work on AWS cloud migration projects Work with on-site and off-shore teams Provide hands-on technical solutions to business challenges & translates them into process/technical solutions. Design, development, and delivery of WAS application including Clustering through network deployment. Interpret requirements, performs highly complex analyses and presents options and recommendations to obtain desired results. Develop advanced technological ideas and guides development into a final product. Design, development, and delivery of WebSEAL implementations Learn and work on Kafka Messaging platform Middleware technologies scope of patching/upgrade work including WebSphere application server, JBoss EAP and Tomcat, Apigee. Work with development teams to create/Configure new middleware instances required by the project, including web Servers, Application Servers. Skills Must have 10 years. Strong hands on knowledge of WebSphere Network deployment on Linux, AIX, Windows, HCL DX (Webpshere Portal). 3-5 years experience working with IBM Security Verify Access WebSEAL. Exposure to cloud technologies like AWS and exposure to Dev/Ops. An aptitude for Tomcat, Jboss and IIS. The ability to accelerate impact, lead change and work under minimal supervision. Nice to have Insurance domain exp. WebSphere and WebSeal related certification. 3. DB2 Administrator Jersey City NJ Hybrid Rate : $50/hr on c2c Responsibilities Database Administration: Manage and administer IBM Db2 Database systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient query execution and response times. Security: Implement and maintain database security measures, including access control, encryption, and auditing. Backup and Recovery: Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data and ensure minimal downtime in case of failures. Database Design: Collaborate with application developers and data architects to design and implement database schemas, tables, and indexes that meet business requirements. Capacity Planning: Estimate future data growth and plan for database capacity and scalability. Data Migration: Manage data migration activities, including data import/export and data transformation. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve database-related issues, such as performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and connectivity problems. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and network engineers, to ensure seamless database integration. Compliance: Ensure that the database environment complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Patch Management: Keep the database software up to date by applying patches and updates. Skills Must have Exp range 10 years. Proven experience as an IBM Db2 Database Administrator or in a similar role. Proficiency in IBM Db2 Database administration, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Strong SQL and scripting skills for automation and data manipulation. Knowledge of database security best practices and encryption techniques. Experience with backup and recovery procedures.
