ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Leverages appropriate analytic tools (SQL, Tableau Prep, Tableau Desktop, R, GCP, others)to integrate, clean, and transform public health and healthcare data. 2. Builds analyses and visualizations, dashboards usingappropriate software (Tableau Desktop, R/Python, GCP, others) for a variety ofpurposes and audiences. Purposes may include public reporting, performanceevaluation, decision analytics, data quality analysis, and/or scientificpublication. Audiences may include the public, healthcare providers, communityaction groups, other government agencies, specific VDH disease programs, and/orVDH leadership. 3. Maintains,republishes, and enhances data products according to established cadences(e.g., daily, weekly, annually). 4. Workscollaboratively with business stakeholders and subject-matter experts to defineand refine requirements. 5. Documentsdetailed description of data cleaning steps, sources, filters, assumptions, andpurposes. 6. Maintains Documentation related to data visualizationprocesses, tools, and best practices while continuing to enhance existingprocesses and procedures. 7. Proactivelyidentifies and communicates data quality issues and addresses issues arisingfrom data processing. 8. Conductsother duties as requested/assigned. 9. Communication To stakeholders both internal and external via email, PPT presentations as well as internal presentations JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: BachelorsDegree or equivalent combination of experience and education Strong data analysis skills in SQL, Tableau, R/Python,and Microsoft Excel Experienceworking collaboratively with diverse groups and projects with defined timelines Strongattention to detail and accuracy Strongcommunication skills Self-starter Preferred Qualifications: Preferred > 2 years experience with Tableauand SQL Familiarity with health/public health data Flexibility towork on multiple projects/issues simultaneously. Knowledgeof relational databases.
