Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Commercial Insurance Claims Functional Lead to join our dynamic claims team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end claims process for our commercial insurance lines. This position demands a deep understanding of commercial insurance P&C business, especially claims, Claims Experience Transformation, Regulatory compliance. The Functional Lead will be responsible to guiding the tech team and become the functional guide for all on going and new transformation experiences alongside the tech team involved in the delivering incremental and large transformation of claims, including FNOL, submissions, Adjudication, Resolution, and providing exceptional service to our commercial clients. Responsibilities: Claims Experience and art of possible: Liaison with the commercial claims adjusters, get their insights and expectations and work with the tech team to ensure tech solution and experience meet the customer expectations Understand the current process of claims investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of complex commercial claims. Be the SME and work with the compliance and tech team to ensure that target state solution complies to state/federal regulations Process Optimization and straight through processing: Develop and refine claims handling procedures, guidelines, and workflows to maximize efficiency and accuracy. Advice technology solutions and AI led automation to streamline claims processes and enhance customer experience. Analyze claims data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process improvement. Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and risk management, to mitigate risk and improve claims outcomes. Customer Service and Communications: Foster a customer-centric culture within the claims team, emphasizing prompt and effective communication with clients. Proactively manage client expectations throughout the claims process, ensuring transparency and timely updates. Resolve customer complaints and escalations in a professional and satisfactory manner. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Operations, Tech, biz, Risk and compliance.. Qualifications: Overall 15+ years in Business Analyst / Functional lead Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance claims Strong knowledge of commercial insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling procedures. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in claims management software and other relevant technology. Professional designations such as CPCU, AIC, or SCLA are highly desirable.
