| Title : Sr. Embedded Software Engineer Location : 243 Tuxedo Ave. Cleveland, OH 44131 - Ideally be able to spend significant amounts of time at the Cleveland office. As a minimum for onsite, onboarding and on average 1 week a month, yet at times (during testing) may be a bit longer onsite Duration : 6 month contract Interview : Telephonic and Web EX Visa : USC, GC MUST HAVES: Embedded C/C++ / Linux experience. The role requires candidates to spend significant amounts of time at the Cleveland office. As a minimum, this includes onsite onboarding and, on average, one week per month. However, there may be periods, especially during testing phases, when longer onsite presence is required. JOB DESCRIPTION: V Charging Infrastructure (EVCI) The EVCI group at NIS is developing a range of electric vehicle charging station products and corresponding software tools and services to be launched in the North American market. These chargers are developed in cooperation with other Nidec teams, and will be manufactured at our location in Cleveland, OH. Job Description The embedded software engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions for embedded systems, focusing on Linux-based platforms. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in C/C++ programming on Linux platforms. In addition, the engineer should be well-versed in communication protocols such as Modbus, CAN, and RS232/485. Familiarity with electric vehicle charging systems and switch mode power supplies is highly desirable.
