Role : Backend Developer Location : Cincinnati, OH (Remote for OH) Visa : NO H1/OPT Exp : Below 5 years (Client rejects 7 years profile) Summary: This Sr. Software Engineer will join an experienced team focusing on migrating legacy data feeds of merchandising platforms to modern domain architecture, by way of automating processes. This resource will aid in building services and orchestrated views of Krogers bulk interfaces which enable consumers of the data to self-serve. This resource will also collaborate with the Tech Lead, team, architects & product managers to deliver on the product roadmap. Experience Needed: 3-5 years of experience backend programming languages like Java or Python A solid understanding and appreciation for Agile tools, processes, and methodology SDLC, Jira, Github, Code Reviews, etc. Experience working with Databricks, Azure Datalake, Azure Event Hub, and other Azure services. Experience in messaging architectures & development Kafka or equivalent. *Experience working with data access patterns and schemas to retrieve, modify, and move data from one system to another. Proven Experience in building RESTful APIs and a deep understanding of REST principles. Proven Experience working with Docker or similar technologies, GIT, CI/CD and writing unit/integration tests. Strong analytical problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-starter with strong initiative, quality deliverable and ability to work under pressure. Business-minded approach to time, costs, and deadlines Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment. Top 4 Skills: Backend services development using Python, Java, or something similar. Experience working with data access patterns and schemas. Databricks experience a big plus. Agile experience.
