About Infleqtion Senior DevOps Engineer Job Description Plan & implement continuous integration (CI) and testing routines interdependently with project teams Continuously evaluate and maintain CI routines responsive to team commitments and priorities Maintain the quality and correctness of our internal documentation Identify gaps in our docs, then gather requirements and information to expand them Maintain and automate operations of production services Monitor production environments, respond promptly to failures, and maintain alerts Solve complex problems and make sound design recommendations grounded in domain expertise Correlate service logs, time-series data, and monitoring with attention and insight Become a trusted technical advisor for DevOps colleagues, project teams and stakeholders Other duties as assigned Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Required KSAs 7+ years experience in technically-demanding software development and operations environments Experience deploying software using Docker and Kubernetes, or equivalent Demonstrated ability to write programs in bash and Python to automate tasks Familiar with a service and configuration management framework, e.g. Ansible Strong understanding of network fundamentals and security Familiarity with a cloud provider, e.g. Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure Bias towards automation; willingness to perform some steps by hand Understanding of networking and storage technologies Familiar with Linux system administration Proficient with version control-centric workflow, e.g. git and GitLab Proficient in MS Office or equivalent productivity suite Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively share information with technical and non-technical colleagues Record of effective collaboration, and productive in a team environment where engagement and participation are an expected part of successful job performance Demonstrated ability to articulate risks, trade-offs, and technical needs in clear persuasive language tailored to an audience based on skill set and priorities Passion for solving complex problems collaboratively in a dynamic technical and scientific environment Capable of participating in an on-call rotation Preferred KSAs Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field with 6 years of experience is preferred; or Masters degree in Engineering or related field with 4 years of experience is a plus 1+ years Azure and Google Cloud platform administration experience 1+ years experience in database administration, esp. with time-series data 1+ years administrating Azure AD or similar identity access management (IAM) platform Ability to write, review and debug Python application source code Experience with IoT hardware deployments Proficient with Pants or similar polyglot build system, e.g. Bazel Proficient with Apache Airflow Proficient with Hashicorp Vault This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
