| From: ayush, Scalable Systems [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: Senior Graph Database Engineer (Neo4j) Department: Data Engineering/Analytics Location: Seattle, WA (98108) Reports To: Director of Data Engineering (or similar) Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Graph Database Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our graph database solutions using Neo4j. This role involves leveraging your expertise in graph data modeling, Cypher query language, and cloud infrastructure (Azure) to build scalable, high-performance graph applications that power our business insights and decision-making. Responsibilities: Graph Database Design and Development: Design and implement graph data models to support diverse use cases, including knowledge graphs and complex relationships. Develop efficient Cypher queries for data extraction, analysis, and visualization. Build and maintain Neo4j clusters on Azure for scalability and high availability. Integrate Neo4j with Azure Active Directory (AAD) for authentication and authorization. Data Ingestion and ETL: Design and develop ETL pipelines to ingest data from various sources into the Neo4j database. Implement batch and real-time data ingestion processes. Optimize data loading for performance and efficiency. Performance and Optimization: Monitor and tune Neo4j performance for optimal query execution and resource utilization. Analyze and resolve database bottlenecks and scalability issues. Implement graph processing and clustering techniques for large-scale datasets. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, business analysts, software engineers) to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Provide technical support and guidance to team members on graph database best practices. Work with end-users to assist with Cypher query development and troubleshooting. Essential Skills: Graph Databases: Proven experience with graph database technologies, especially Neo4j (3+ years). Deep understanding of graph data modeling concepts and best practices. Proficiency in Cypher query language. Experience with Neo4j Bloom and NeoDash for visualization and monitoring. Cloud Technologies: Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and services. Knowledge of Azure Active Directory for identity and access management. Programming: Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark. Knowledge of Java is a plus. Data Engineering: Experience with ETL tools and methodologies. Familiarity with relational (Teradata) and NoSQL databases. Understanding of version control systems (GitLab). Experience with Spark for graph processing is an advantage. Nice-to-Have Skills: Neo4j certification Knowledge of graph algorithms and machine learning Experience with knowledge graph construction Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
