Generous PTOJob DetailsJob Details:We are seeking a highly competent and experienced IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, in-house position within the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's IT network, servers, and security systems. This role is absolutely essential within our organization to ensure business continuity. If you're passionate about technology, constantly seeking to learn and improve skillset, then you are the type of person we are looking for.Responsibilities:
Provide technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops
Install authorized software to laptops and desktops
Ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops and laptops
Antivirus installation to all desktops and laptops
Fault-finding to laptops and desktops
Reporting faults and maintaining logs on servers, desktops and laptops
Patching of network and phones
Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the IT Manager
Ensuring all logs for equipment and users are maintained
Creating purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software
Ensuring licensing for all software purchased is recorded and maintained

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT Support
Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Office 365, Active Directory, AAD, Fortinet, Datto, ERP
Proficient with CompTIA, Network+, Fortinet NSE
A strong understanding of IT operations and related applications and IT systems as well as business-related processes and procedures
Knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
Customer-oriented attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field
Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, ITIL Certification, MCSA, CCNA) will be an advantage.
