Position: Senior Java Specialist Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Duration: 6 months contract Interview: Video/Skype Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable Java applications on AWS and OCP. Project Delivery: Ensure the successful delivery of projects using TDD, adhering to best practices and industry standards. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment. Cloud Integration: Integrate Java applications with AWS services, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. Container Management: Utilize OpenShift Container Platform for the deployment, management, and orchestration of containerized applications. Code Quality: Conduct thorough code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, product owners, and QA engineers, to define and refine requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Required Experience: Java: 7 to 8 years of professional experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns. AWS: 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and more. OCP: 2 to 3 years of experience with the OpenShift Container Platform, including deployment, management, and orchestration of containerized applications. TDD: 2 to 3 years of experience with Test Data Driven Development, including writing and maintaining unit tests, integration tests, and ensuring code coverage. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with other container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). Knowledge of microservices architecture and related technologies. Certification in AWS or OpenShift. Best Regards Md.
