Role: Azure Data Engineer Location: Cary, NC (Only Locals) Duration: Contract Experience: Minimum 10+ years Note: Only H1 Visa who can share PP (Dont share GC, GC EAD, H4, OPT/CPT) Role Description: Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services. Develop and maintain data storage solutions such as Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing robust data validation and cleansing techniques. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Optimize data systems for performance and scalability. Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance of data systems and pipelines. Implement security best practices to safeguard data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Stay updated with the latest advancements in Azure data services and technologies and recommend their adoption when appropriate. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on the Azure platform. Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases. Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or similar. Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL best practices. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus. Understanding of DevOps practices and experience with CI/CD pipelines is an advantage. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically about data problems.
