About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated IT Storage Administrator to join our team in San Jose, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our NetApp and EMC storage infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and scalability. Key Responsibilities (Important Skills & Keywords Highlighted): Storage Management: Install, decommission, and migrate NetApp and EMC storage servers (Installation, Decommissioning, Migration) Perform code upgrades, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to best practices (Code Upgrades, Operations) Handle day-to-day storage operations, including break/fix troubleshooting (Break/Fix) Manage Snapvault and SnapMirror for efficient data replication and disaster recovery (Snapvault, SnapMirror) Conduct LIF migrations to optimize network connectivity (LIF Migration) Perform OnTap upgrades to maintain the latest features and security patches (OnTap Upgrade) Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor storage performance and capacity utilization Identify and proactively address potential issues to ensure optimal system health Implement storage optimization and best practices to maximize efficiency Reporting and Documentation: Generate comprehensive reports on storage utilization, performance, and capacity trends Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on all storage configurations and procedures Skills and Qualifications: Required: 6-8 years of experience in IT storage administration Proven experience with NetApp and EMC storage platforms (NetApp, EMC) In-depth knowledge of storage server life cycle, including installation, decommissioning, and migration (Storage Server Life Cycle) Strong understanding of storage technologies, including data replication, snapshots, and LIF management (Data Replication, Snapshots, LIF Management) Excellent troubleshooting skills and a problem-solving mentality (Troubleshooting) Experience with storage performance monitoring tools Excellent communication and documentation skills Preferred: Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python Experience with cloud storage solutions like AWS S3 or Azure Blob Storage Certifications like NetApp Certified Storage Professional (NCSP) or EMC Proven Professional certifications Keywords: sthree information technology California Need IT System Administrator [email protected] |
