How often have you had an opportunity to play a key role in a team that solves significant customer problems through innovative technology AWS Mainframe modernization is a service that provides customers a single place to define, modernize, and migrate their applications from legacy technology to AWS Mainframe Modernization service on top of the EC2 platform, where customers can take advantage of modern architectures, advanced technology and resilience. This service helps to mitigate risk, avoid unnecessary delays and downtime caused by the modernization and migration of applications, infrastructure, or operations. We are looking to contract with a Systems Programmer or Systems Engineer to help with the configuration, management, and maintenance of our IBMi series system. Key job responsibilities Managing and maintaining our IBMi series systems. Managing and maintaining DB2 for IBMi. Network setup and configuration with AWS services. Basic qualifications Experience managing IBMi series systems Experience with DB2 for IBMi Experience with IBM i data replication Experience with networking configuration and integration of IBMi systems and AWS services Experience with MIMIX SHARE a plus ~~~ For clarity here is the rough breakdown of work IBM i-Series Administration: 40% Coding in RPGLE/CL: 15% AWS: 20% Linux: 5% Communication/docs: 20% Trust is Contagious!!
