The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development, API security, and collaboration with Chief Information Security Officers (CISO). This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of software architecture and security best practices. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Management : Lead and manage a team of developers and engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure project success and team growth. Technical Strategy : Define and implement technical strategies for application development, focusing on Java, Microservices, Mulesoft, and API technologies. API Development and Integration : Oversee the design, development, and integration of robust APIs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Microservices Architecture : Advocate for and implement microservices architecture, promoting modularity, flexibility, and ease of maintenance. Security Best Practices : Ensure that all development practices adhere to security best practices, working closely with the CISO to address security concerns and implement necessary safeguards. Project Management : Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other stakeholders, to deliver high-quality software solutions. Innovation and Improvement : Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously seeking ways to innovate and improve the development process. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical designs, project plans, and progress reports. Qualifications Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience : Minimum of 18+ years of overall experience in software development, with at least 5-8 years in a leadership or management role. Proven experience with Java, Microservices, Mulesoft, and API development. Strong background in application development and API security. Technical Skills : Expertise in Java programming and related frameworks. Extensive experience with microservices architecture and Mulesoft integration. Deep understanding of API development, including RESTful and SOAP APIs. Knowledge of security best practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding principles. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Soft Skills : Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications : Experience working with CISOs and understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Java, Mulesoft, AWS).
