Job Title - Sr. WiFi Engineer/Dev Location - Englewood, Colorado Job Description: USC/GC Location: Englewood CO 80112 hybrid 3 days onsite and 2 days remote Need LinkedIn(With Picture) and DL 2 Manager References Key Responsibilities Wi-Fi Alliance Engagement Actively represent Charters interests within the Wi-Fi Alliance, participating in working groups related to Wi-Fi security, interoperability, and future specifications. Provide technical expertise during specification reviews, ensuring alignment with the company's product roadmap and technical vision. Participate in Interop events, testing and validating the company's wireless solutions against industry standards and other vendors. Access Point Development Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and drive implementation of innovative features across our Access Point products. Design, test, and document new features, ensuring seamless integration with existing frameworks and systems. Develop and document test methodology toward requirements traceability and automation of device testing. Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex field issues, working closely with development, support, and customer-facing teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 10+ years of hands-on experience in the design, development, and implementation of wireless networking solutions, preferably within a carrier grade Wi-Fi environment. Demonstrated expertise in Wi-Fi technologies, including in-depth understanding of 802.11 standards (e.g., 802.11be, 802.11ax, 802.11ac). Experience with Wi-Fi security protocols (WPA2, WPA3, etc.) and a strong understanding of wireless security best practices. Strong foundation in network engineering principles, including IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, DSCP, routing, and switching. Proficiency with network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, spectrum analyzers, ). Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate and resolve complex technical challenges. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives. Desired Skills Prior participation in Wi-Fi Alliance activities or other industry standards bodies. 15+ years of hands-on experience in the design, development, and implementation of wireless networking solutions, preferably within a carrier grade Wi-Fi environment. Track record of defining requirements, delivering hardware and software designs, and developing features for Wi-Fi gateways/devices. Knowledge and experience with embedded software languages (e.g. C) and tools, build systems, cross compilers, embedded Linux kernels and hardware abstraction layers. Understanding of OpenWRT, experience working with wireless protocol stacks and data models, and familiarity with the Linux connectivity stack.
