Position: Policy Administration System - Quality Assurance Analyst, No H1B Location: McKinney, TX (Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Months MOI: Phone and Video The Life insurance Quality Assurance Analyst works across multiple teams as needed to support the overall testing needs of the program including test planning, test execution, End to End testing and test automation. Responsible for a wide range of activities from supporting the requirements and development process to test planning and execution to ensure a successful implementation of the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) system and all ancillary related applications. The goal of this position is to utilize software Quality Assurance/Quality Control best practices, as well as team collaborative efforts to produce a superior software experience to the end user prior to and concluding a successful production implementation. Position's General Duties and Tasks In these roles you will be responsible for: What specifically will this person be doing (5-6 bullet points that highlight the most important responsibilities). Development of test cases, test strategies, test plans, execute tests thought out the various testing life cycle to include hands-on experience reviewing test documentation and test results and quickly identify and troubleshoot issues Responsible for the validation of all End User documentation prior to delivery of the project Coordinate Defect/Issue Resolution among other teams so that defects are resolved and reported to management on a recurring basis Review test cases and support development of automation test scripts Manage project workloads, schedules, scope and deadlines to eliminate constraints and ensure that customer needs and project metrics are met Write complex SQL queries for testing and data mining purposes Participate in testing a variety of data warehouses (cloud and on-prem), ODS and other data marts where appropriate Provide timely periodic status reporting Works with management to establish application testing goals, strategies and plans Take ownership of overall Quality Assurance success Team player who collaborates with others & provided motivation to other team members Work in a strong team environment providing high-quality feedback and review of other team members' work Identify, recommend, and implement standardization and industry best practices Overcome project obstacles with ease and escalate quickly when appropriate Requirements for this role include: 7+ years of overall relevant IT experience 2+ years of experience in testing Insurance policy administration systems preferably OIPA Life insurance background and experience strongly preferred Oracle OIPA (Oracle Insurance Policy Administration Solution) knowledge a plus Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams Certifications in Business Analysis or Scrum Master desired Hands on experience handling complex project deliverables with significant leadership responsibilities Preferences: - Optional (nice-to-have's) Insurance industry experience a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present technical information to all audience levels. Exhibits critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently or in a group setting and meet deadlines. Ability to organize and present information in a training setting. Required schedule availability for this position is Monday-Friday (8 AM - 5 PM CST). The shift timings can be changed as per client requirements. Additionally, resources may have to do overtime and work on weekend's basis business requirement. Keywords: access management |
