Title: Business Analyst State: Raleigh, NC Description: Business Analysts are required to perform analytical analysis including business objectives and process review, function design, and testing of assigned special projects. ***This is a hybrid position. The candidate will be expected to be onsite 2-3 days a week. Performs analytical analysis including business objectives and process review, function design, and testing of assigned special projects. Understands various sections' business functions and system needs, to develop specifications and business requirements. This work involves establishing and maintaining relationships with state agency stakeholders and project team members, such as DAC, DPS, SCP, DIT, etc. to optimize and streamline processes. The role requires an understanding of the business functions, technology components, and strategic goals of the State government. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as ServiceNow ITSM and process improvements technical point of contact. Demonstrate proficiency in ServiceNow platform functionalities and capabilities, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and CSM modules. Display willingness to be adaptable, research independently and consistently process complex information quickly. Effectively collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and develop detailed documents to reflect business requirements and process improvement solutions. Work closely with department subject matter experts (SMEs) by utilizing ITIL, Kaizen, and Lean Six Sigma concepts to define, implement, and test catalog items to streamline the variety of internal process workflows across DAC, DPS, SCP, etc. Interface well with DIT, MIS, Institutions, Correction Enterprise, HR, Combined Records, Facility Management, etc. to design and implement process improvement efforts. Continuously evaluate and enhance accessibility and usability of the agency's Self-Service Portals. Create intricate reports and perform data analysis to assist management with identifying trends, balancing workloads, and improving data integrity. Prepare and facilitate technical training videos for IT staff and customers on an ongoing basis. Mentor Special Projects intern and others on ServiceNow and ITIL best processes. Assist management with project coordination and act as a backup when required. Display a basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
