Must be local to Cincinnati The Supply Chain Fresh team is responsible for providing technology solutions for the purpose of improving the freshness of produce, meat, and seafood from Farm to Fork. The Senior React Developer is accountable for creating high quality deliverables compliant with established standards that meet business needs. This role provides leadership, analysis, design, and development tasks required to deliver critical business solutions. This posting is for development on a newer Web application with a front end developed using React JS. This web application has been in use for less than one year. This application will be the source for produce, meat, and seafood quality specifications. This role is required to work from the Kroger office located in Blue Ash, Ohio 3 days a week. Minimum Position Qualifications: 5+ years developing Websites/Web Applications 5+ years JavaScript experience (typescript experience a plus) 5+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and Git 5+ years React JS experience Experience with building and optimizing web applications. Experience working with Restful services on a cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure or AWS Cloud Experience with the Spring Framework (Persistence, REST, Messaging, Integrations) such as Spring Boot 4+ years of experience with continuous integration and automated testing integration Understanding of network and security architecture Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, GitHub SaaS Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. Key Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Member of an agile team that adds new functionality and maintains a web application through code development for Windows desktop and Azure Cloud services platform using React JS for the UI and Java for the back end. Develop a high-quality codebase, lead, and participate design discussions, execute development against design, and navigate complex codebase. Executes against a defined technology roadmap to support project portfolio and business strategy. Drive digital innovation by leveraging innovative new technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base. Participate in the analysis of the technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Mentor team members in software development principles, patterns, processes, and practices. Promote the capture and reuse of intellectual capital, including code objects and components. Draft and review design documents. Provide support for applications, including involvement with the Support Center and Infrastructure teams.
