Job Title: Software Python Architect with Java and SQL Location: St. Louis, MO-Onsite or Should be ready to travel to client site Duration: Long Term Contract Ideal candidates should be able to start any time next week or following week. Skills and Responsibilities: Job Description: We are looking for a seasoned Software Development Architect with hands-on experience and good architectural grasp of technologies like Python, Java & sql database. Candidate must have a strong understanding of python best practices, background in writing well-structured code including unit tests and integration tests. Should have and Willing to work with programmatic tools for CI/CD deployment pipelines following a microservices architecture. We need a self starter and very senior individual who has excellent business acumen, along with of course the technical and domain knowledge Responsible for: Contribute to the planning, definition, and development of the Platform Systems Architecture and Technical Roadmap by performing spikes, POCs, and exploration of solution alternatives within specified cost and security constraints. Work in a diverse matrixed organization, providing implementation, direction and oversight to planned technical activities. Experience working as Software / Application Architect or comparable experience in a Senior or Leadership technical role. Review and evaluation of key attributes of existing application architectures Recommend and validate improvements to existing application architectures Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies Required Skills: 10+ years programming experience 4+ years Python experience (preferably used as the primary language in last job) Good experience in Java and SQL. Has created and deployed serverless services Working knowledge of the following: * AWS (Lambda, Dynamo, API Gateway, EC2, Kinesis, ELK) * GIT/GitHub * CI/CD (Concourse and Jenkins) * Docker Must have excellent communication skills Experience working in an Agile, scrum-based team Experience writing unit & integration tests Telecom/wireless Domain knowledge Keywords: continuous integration continuous deployment |
