Title: Master Data Management (MDM) Engineer Company: Sentara Basic Company Info: Large Health Care and Health Plan Organization with 12+ clinical and ambulatory locations across N. VA, VA, NC and now FL. Company is going through large business transformation, innovative in the Healthcare technology industry and looking to add to its innovative team and culture. Location Details: Remote in Sentara Approved State: Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington (State), West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming Why Open: Looking to have someone full time in this role (they have a Senior Contractor who has been working on this role, but he is not interested in being FTE- so looking to bring someone on Contract to hire to support this ongoing work). Start: ASAP- once they find the right person for this Duration: 3-6 months Contract to hire (would love closer to 3 months before converting) Bill Rate: 60hr c2c Important Skills Technical Prophecy (or similar tool for MDM), Azure data factory, Azure databricks Environment/team: This person will report to: Manager, IT Production Support, Enterprise Data Service (she is great). Interview Process: Interview will be Panel style interview w/ the Manger and 3-4 other managers max depending on who is available (they will tag team the interview). Notes: *Candidates must have healthcare experience- must have worked in healthcare before! This has been a very hard role to get good candidates for- she is not quite sure why **Important to note that MDM stands for Master Data Management as there is also a Mobile Data Management (also MDM)- two of these, both MDM, but not the same (there might also be more of mobile vs master Data candidates out there when sourcing, so make sure candidates have the correct MDM experience). -What they are seeing- a lot of architects have done MDM/part of what they are doing, they have their architects really leading that stuff (currently have 2 full time contractors working on it) -They are using tool called prophecy- prophecy is not something you see commonly, its a newer tool -Having a hard time screening for the right people -Need someone w/ nitty gritty technical piece. -Feedback from the team so far on candidates they have met- team is saying that it sounds like this person mostly did this other thing on top of MDM/had more of a focus elsewhere (maybe someone who was more of a DBA but had to use MDM, for example)- this is not what they are looking for. They want to find someone who fits, someone whos main job entailed MDM and not just a small part of another job (unsure if they can find someone like that, but that is what they want). -Someone who can do some pipeline development in azure data factory, data bricks -All azure factory- this is what they use -Working in Data bricks w/ the prophecy tool- Azure pipelines to pull the date into prophecy. -Maybe an ETL Engineer that has dealt w/ MDM or maybe an actual MDM who has done some ETL work maybe- but an architect would not be right for this, that is a different level. -If they havent used prophecy, there are other similar tools- having prophecy experience is not required as long as they have used a similar tool (if they have done MDM informatica or another tool- they have a couple of other tools besides prophecy that are really for MDM, that is fine if they used one of those other tools).
