The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires strong technical knowledge, project management expertise, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Management: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques. Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and support to the production support team, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and support of Java-based applications. Oversee the implementation of monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues. Facilitate meetings with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives. Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress, performance metrics, and outcomes. Risk and Issue Management: Identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and ensure the implementation of preventive measures. Ensure timely resolution of project issues, minimizing impact on production environments and business operations. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members. Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization within the project lifecycle. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in project management and production support. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project team. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field. Masters degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on IT operations or application production support. Strong technical background with hands-on experience in supporting and troubleshooting Java-based applications. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred. Proven experience in managing complex projects with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive and results-oriented mindset. Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives. Work Environment: This position requires working from the office Hybrid work may be required to support critical production incidents or project milestones.
