These challenges are regularly given on tight timelines, and we are looking for experienced engineering team members able to make the right decisions and drive them to execution. This position will serve as a primary contributor on the team as the team navigates the changing technology landscape. Senior level positions are a key element of our teams composition as they serve as initiative leads and problem solvers. Basic Qualification Our team... collaborative and dynamic we embrace agile practices work as a mostly backend service team continuous integration/automated testing frequent working software demos Responsibilities... work as part of a team participate in stand-ups and other sprint meetings design and implement new solutions optimize and enhance existing services document changes and new features perform code reviews deliver code with thorough automated testing help monitor and support apps in production Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of professional software development experience in highly scalable, distributed software components Proficiency in server-side Java Virtual Machine programming languages, especially Java Proven experience of cloud application architecture and engineering, AWS is preferred Professional experience with Java based web services, RESTful framework and GraphQL, and both relational and non-relational database platforms Experience with large scale distributed system architecture Ability to trace through various services and determine root cause when issues occur Knowledge of common performance issues, as well as a working experience with logs, monitoring tools Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Development/Testing practices and methodologies Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies Excellent communication and collaboration skills and a strong teamwork ethic Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a cross-functional team Ability to lead small projects and platform initiatives Experience With Some Or All Of The Following Java, Kotlin, Scala Spring Framework/http4s MySQL Amazon DynamoDB/ScyllaDB TestNG/Junit/Weaver Docker/ Kubernetes Maven/Gradle/SBT Jenkins/Spinnaker GitLab/GitHub Kafka/AWS Kinesis/AWS SQS/AWS SNS OpenTelemetry/NewRelic/DataDog/AWS CloudWatch AWS CloudFormation/Terraform Required Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or sim. field Keywords: continuous integration continuous deployment green card microsoft California Washington Senior Software Engineer (Java, AWS) || Seattle WA, or Los Angeles, CA-Onsite || USC,GC $ H4EAD [email protected] |
