Lead Full Stack .NET Developer

Onsite/Hybrid

Location- Baltimore, Maryland

The Lead Full Stack .NET Developer oversees the technical aspects of the software development life cycle for Maryland State Retirement System (MSRP) suite of custom and 3rd party applications. 

 The Lead Full Stack .NET Developer is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of solutions across a range of technologies supporting internal and external facing applications, integrations, workflows, and automated processes. 

This position works closely with other software developers, database administrators, and business analysts to ensure that deliverables are accurate and on time. 

This role is responsible for efficiently organizing and orchestrating developer resources to create, maintain and extend software solutions. 

 Duties/Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following: 

 1. Lead a team of software developers, assign tasks, and provide guidance and mentorship. 

 2. Design and architect the software system, defining the technical vision and roadmap. 

 3. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to coding standards and best practices. 

 4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams like product managers, designers, and QA to ensure alignment on requirements and deliverables. 

 5. Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability. 

 6. Implement testing strategies and oversee the testing process, including unit, integration, and system testing. 

 7. Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks. 

 8. Stay up to date with emerging technologies, programming languages, and industry trends. 

 9. Manage project timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of software releases. 

 10. Oversee and participate in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation. 11. Follow all guidance on software development at the agency and state level. 

 Education 

 1. High school, GED or equivalent required. 

 2. Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience. 

 Required Experience and Skills 

 1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a technical lead. 

 2. Minimum 7 years of experience as a full stack .NET developer is required. 

 3. Minimum 7 years of experience with C#. 

 4. Minimum 7 years of experience with ASP.NET MVC and .NET Core.

 5. Minimum 7 years of experience with Angular 2+ and JavaScript 

 6. Minimum 7 years of experience with Entity Framework, Entity Framework Core or other ORM framework. 

 7. Minimum 2 years of experience working with public defined benefit pension systems. 

 8. Experience with authentication and authorization, identity layers and middleware implementations such as OpenID Connect and .NET integrations. 

 9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

 10. Strong analytical skills. 

 Preferred Experience and Skills 

 1. Experience with Angular 8+, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery. 

 2. Experience with T-SQL. 

 3. Experience with .NET Framework 

 4. Experience developing Dynamics 365. 

 5. Experience with Biztalk and Biztalk Rules Engine Preferred.

 6. Familiarity with Vinzants Global Event Control Server (GECS)
