Legacy Systems Expertise: Deep understanding of COBOL and CICS application development and maintenance. Translate business requirements into technical solutions through coding and testing Technical Knowledge Transfer: Establish a thorough baseline understanding of the client s entire mainframe application portfolio. Document processes, protocols, expectations, and SLAs for future reference. Standardize and improve existing coding practices within the team. Team Building and Development: Develop and implement a team playbook to ensure knowledge transfer and efficient execution. Create a resource roadmap to recruit and onboard additional mainframe talent as needed. Onboard, train, and upskill current team members to fill gaps left by retiring or transitioning employees. Establish a repeatable process for scaling the team effectively. Project Delivery: Manage and deliver on application break/fix and enhancement projects. Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality standards. Ensure the team consistently meets agreed-upon SLAs for ticket resolution times.
