This role is crucial in bridging the gap between business operations stakeholders and Agile software development teams, requiring a solid technical understanding of how software applications support operational processes. You will leverage your expertise to align business needs with technical solutions, fostering strong stakeholder relationships and driving process improvements. Collaborating across technology teams and business partners, you will lead the entire enhancement lifecycle of our core platform, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions for our organization. Prior experience in the energy industry or B2B applications is a plus, but your ability to quickly learn and adapt to new domains is essential. Essential Job Functions and Tasks: Energy Industry Billing and B2B Expertise: Apply your deep understanding of energy industry billing processes, logic, and B2B exchanges (including EDI) to analyze production issues, create business cases, and guide project scope. Craft detailed user stories in Jira or Azure DevOps, translating complex business requirements into actionable tasks for development teams. Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, document business capabilities, and refine assets. Lead cross-functional collaboration and planning to achieve project goals. Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis, including use case modeling, data modeling, and process mapping, to understand stakeholder needs and identify improvement opportunities. Data & Technical Acumen: Utilize querying tools and relational database knowledge to identify data issues and resolutions. Provide feedback on database designs and translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Leverage Power BI for data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation. Process Improvement: Apply advanced facilitation and process improvement skills to lead process redesigns and support initiatives. Mentor and guide other business analysts within the department. Strategic Application Roadmapping & Development Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from planning and requirements gathering to implementation and maintenance. Risk Management & Change Management: Identify, assess, and proactively communicate project risks, developing mitigation plans as needed. Support the implementation of change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions for end-users. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to ensure delivered solutions meet requirements and quality standards. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, information systems, business, or related field. 7+ years of relevant work experience. Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps. Demonstrated success in remote team working models. Basic knowledge of SQL query development is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Information: Potential for bi-weekly after-hours work to support deployments, with flexible hours to maintain a 40-hour workweek unless overtime is pre-approved. Travel is rare but may be required for team-building events or meetings. Communication skills will be a large focus during the interview process, which will include two rounds of interviews.
