Position: 100% Remote Senior Mainframe Specialist NO H1B Location: 100% Remote Duration: 2 months+ expected extension likely Job Description: As a Senior Mainframe Specialist, you will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and client stakeholders to understand, advise, and consult on the Mainframe environment. This includes conducting workshops, researching solutions, and presenting recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of our services. Key Responsibilities: Translate client requirements into technology solutions leveraging cloud platforms. Conduct business analysis and exercise sound judgment to drive client value. Foster strong client relationships through effective communication and collaboration. Develop high-level designs for COBOL, JCL, and CICS. Create architectures, conduct peer reviews, and define target state architectures. Document APIs and application modules, working closely with architects and developers. Drive process and documentation improvements based on industry best practices. Apply database design standards and collaborate with infrastructure teams. Define and implement best practices for solutions in CICS environments. Gain comprehensive knowledge of the clients Mainframe ecosystem. Qualifications: Proven experience in enterprise Mainframe environments. Strong understanding of cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform. Exceptional communication skills with proficiency in technical documentation and presentations. Ability to thrive in client-facing roles, contributing to consultative engagements.
