This is an in-office 5-days/week role based out of T Rowes TECH CENTER, which is located in Owings Mills, MD (Baltimore area). The Tech Center is about 2 miles from the main campus. Rowe Price is looking for a network engineer to be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's network infrastructure. The main projects the engineer will work on are Cisco software upgrades and brown-field equipment replacements. This role could also require the contractor to be on-call two to three weeks per year. This role is required to work onsite full time at the Tech Center. Once they get ramped up, they will provide support to the Owings Mills campus as well. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement network infrastructure to ensure connectivity and stability of the company's network Analyze security vulnerabilities and recommend solutions to protect the network against potential threats Configure and maintain Cisco ISO devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls Work with Nexus switches and related technologies such as Virtual Port Channels (VPC) and Fabric Path Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP Work with switching technologies including VLANs, STP, EtherChannels, and Layer 2 and 3 switching Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 3+ years of experience in network engineering Experience with network cabling infrastructure design and installation Strong knowledge of network security vulnerabilities and solutions Experience with Cisco ISO devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls Experience with Nexus switches and related technologies such as VPC and Fabric Path Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP Experience with switching technologies including VLANs, STP, EtherChannels, and Layer 2 and 3 switching Network engineers typically have a Cisco CCNA and/or CCNP Certification -- Keywords: information technology Maryland Hybrid : Title: Network Engineer III No H1B, OPT [email protected] |
