Role: Security Architect Location: Louisville, KY (Onsite) -- Only USC/GC/H1B's Role Description: Job Summary: The Security Architect will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure information systems. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure that security measures are integrated into the overall IT architecture and that they align with the organization's security policies and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Security Design and Architecture: Develop and implement security architecture strategies, policies, and procedures. Design secure network and system architectures, ensuring robust protection against threats and vulnerabilities. Integrate security controls into new and existing systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability testing. Identify, analyze, and mitigate security risks in the IT environment. Develop and implement risk management strategies and frameworks. Compliance and Governance: Ensure that security architecture complies with relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001). Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with IT, engineering, and business teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle. Provide security guidance and expertise to project teams and stakeholders. Communicate security risks and recommendations to senior management and executives. Incident Response and Management: Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures. Lead and coordinate responses to security incidents and breaches. Conduct post-incident analysis to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. Security Awareness and Training: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees. Promote a culture of security awareness and best practices across the organization. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Proven experience as a Security Architect or in a similar role. Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies. Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS). Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and encryption. Knowledge of network and system architecture, including cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
