So the feedback has been he's been seeing more technical leads/architects specialized in one module and that's not what they want. They want to see "Functional leads" not technical leads. This means they are managing other leads who work on different workstreams such as Supply Chain and FI (Financial Accounting). This functional lead should have experience managing SME/leads/architects for Supply Chain and FI. A traditional lead is just over one workstream, they want someone who has managed multiple workstreams. This person will be leading the other technical leads who handle just one workstream. They are looking for someone who can lead/manage the other SME/leads/architects who only cover one of Finance or Supply Chain. The functional Lead will leading all the other leads. Job Details: Urgent opening for a SAP Functional Lead for Supply Chain and FI. This is more of a leader position than technical. They need to be a SME with Brownfield Migrations and have done them in most recent role. The last person they interviewed wasnt strong enough here and wasnt strong enough around handling possible situations related to S4 Hana. This is a project with a fortune 500 construction company. They are doing a Brownfield migration from ECC to S4. Need candidates who have done this migration from start to finish with ideally 10+ full life cycle SAP implementations under their belt. They will eventually help to build out a team. Must haves: Possesses in-depth knowledge of SAP modules for Supply Chain and FI Managed other technical leads for multiple workstreams 10+ full lifecycle SAP implementations Experience with migrations from ECC to S4 Hana 5+ years at a Big 4 consulting company like Deloitte, Accenture, KPMG or similar (Ideally have been a SAP Consultant for a Finance or Construction organization) Lead SAP migration teams and project plans Sharp and presentable in front of the business is a must Responsibilities: Management - Lead and guide several functional sub-teams through all phases of the SAP migration project. Develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes. Partner with the client to ensure outcomes align with their expectations. Functional expertise - Possess in-depth knowledge of SAP modules. Analyze current business processes and functionalities to identify areas of change/improvement during the migration. Provide expert advice on SAP best practices and ensure the implementation aligns with organizational goals. Requirement Analysis - Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements and translate them into functional specifications. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring alignment with SAP capabilities. Cross-workstream support and collaboration - Support major cross-workstreams activities such as: data migration, change management/training, cutover and integrated testing. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred. 10+ full lifecycle SAP implementations (Experience with migrations from ECC to S4Hana a plus). 5+ years at a Big 4 consulting company. In-depth knowledge of SAP modules and functionalities. Strong leadership and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-workstream teams. Relevant SAP certifications are a plus.
