Skill 2 - Enterprise Linux server management (CentOS, SUSE, Ubuntu, Redhat Skill 3 Proficiency in scripting and automation bash, perl, python, etc Good To have Skills Skill 1 Experience with storage solutions including, RAID, and SAN technology Description: We are looking for a Unix System Administrator to Design, develop, modify, Manage, adapt and implement short and long term solutions to information technology (IT) needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture and applications infrastructure for Next generation Clients tools using but not limited to Embedded HW Setup, CENTOS, UBUNTU, RHAT, SUSE, clustering, Diskless clients, DHCP, PXE, Shell, Perl, Python, IPMI SoL, x86 Hardware, virtualized environments, Ensuring security, integrity and high-availability of enterprise systems and related components is essential. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring and installing updates, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing monitoring and management of mission critical services. Must be able to take ownership and independently manage the small to medium LINUX environment as well as analyze functional requirements and recommends technical solutions to stakeholders. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. JOB Duties: Configure, Install and Maintain of Clients Next generation Unix based tools, Design, configure, install and maintain of CENTOS, UBUNTU, RHAT, SUSE servers and desktop computers. Develop and maintain scripts using Shell, Perl, Python Scripts. Install, configure and manage PXE, Diskless clients Install, configure and maintain both physical and virtual servers. Design, configure, install and maintain all hardware including, but not limited to clustered, standalone servers, blade servers, running VMware, and storage solutions including, RAID, and SAN technology. Serial console setup on BIOS (EFI)/bootloader/kernel/init sides, IPMI (especially IPMI SoL) Ability to troubleshoot both basic and advanced issues. Install and maintain patches as required to meet customer standards. Develop and maintain documentation in support of the architecture, environment and SOPs Drive support level escalations. Support and contribute in developing and maintaining enterprise strategic plan, to mitigate risks, address organizational deficiencies, and facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth. Maintain security compliance on all computers. Perform pro-active support functions and reporting to maintain the integrity of the enterprise equipment and infrastructure. Work with ticket queue to support operational issues. Participate in the root-cause-analyses as needed. Works cross-collaboratively with the team, operations and other key stakeholders. Required skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5 - 7 Years) Semiconductor tools IT infrastructure experience (1- 2 years) Enterprise Linux server management (CentOS, SUSE, Ubuntu, Redhat) Networking protocols, including HTTPS, TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, SSH, SMTP Proficiency in scripting and automation - bash, perl, python, etc Experience in clustering solutions Experience with physical and virtual server environments, such as x86 and VMware Experience with PXE and Diskless clients Experience with storage solutions including, RAID, and SAN technology. Networking experience with Cisco or comparable devices, Enterprise Load Balancers, IPTABLES, Next Generation Enterprise Firewalls Plus - Added Advantage: Linux on non-stock x86: (e.g. ARM or embedded x86 - e.g. Geode) Embedded HW setup.
