| From: Aniket Dhakar, Technocraft Solutions [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Role: Systems Engineer Location: Richfield, MN - Hybrid Duration: Duration - 6-12 months contract with extension Responsibilities: Work with app teams to build out infra using terraform, chef, ansible, and a few home grown tools using CI/CD. Coordinating app migrations with the app teams Troubleshooting issues Building new offerings in terraform that we can leverage in our infra as code processes (standing up new AWS services) Decommissioning the legacy apps - Managing change requests, managing decommission process, shutting down apps/servers Ideal candidate: Knows both operating systems: Windows and Linux Terraform - this is what we use to build most of the infrastructure Need to be able to manage and troubleshoot issues with the operating systems and basic AWS troubleshooting. Nice to have: Migration experience A DevOps engineer would fit in with the team. We work in agile/kanban. We work in deadlines and leverage DevOps principles. So if a DevOps engineer has worked with these tools, they would be a fit. Position Summary/Job Description: This position will work with other engineers and application owners to ensure the necessary information is documented to support the build and migration of applications to AWS. Use Terraform and Chef to build and manage the infrastructure in AWS. Coordinate migration and cutover activities with application teams to ensure successful transitions. Skills Overview: What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job 7+ years of relevant professional experience Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Working knowledge of cloud offerings, preferably AWS. Experience working with Terraform, Chef, and Ansible Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server operating systems. Understanding of code management practices and SDLC We are working on a large-scale initiative to migrate workloads out of the data centers and into the cloud. This multi-year endeavor enables will enable us to refresh our infrastructure and expand our use of infrastructure as code across the enterprise. Using tools including Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Jenkins and others, we are securing and streamlining how we build and manage the systems that support *** and bestbuy.com. Working knowledge of cloud offerings, preferably AWS. Experience working with Terraform, Chef, and Ansible as well as Windows and Linux operating systems Understanding of code management practices and SDLC.
