Must know the ins and out of a migration from Cognos to power bi and be an expert in both Cognos and Power BI Remote - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. - Proven experience in migrating Cognos, Tableau, and SAS to Power BI. Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, visualization, and migration of BI tools, with expertise in SAS development, analysis, and troubleshooting. They will be responsible for leveraging their expertise in Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, SQL, Azure concepts, DevOps, Fabric, and SAS to drive actionable insights and streamline processes within the organization. Key Responsibilities: 1. Data Analysis and Visualization: - Utilize Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, and SAS to analyze complex datasets and generate insightful visualizations and reports. - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights. 2. BI Tools Migration: - Lead the migration of Cognos, Tableau, and SAS reports and dashboards to Power BI. - Develop migration strategies and execute seamless transitions while ensuring data integrity and functionality are maintained. 3. SQL Expertise: - Leverage SQL queries and scripts to extract, manipulate, and transform data from various sources. - Optimize database performance and troubleshoot data-related issues as needed. 4. Azure Concepts: - Utilize Microsoft Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Analysis Services to store, process, and analyze data. - Implement best practices for data security, scalability, and reliability on Azure cloud platform. 5. DevOps and Fabric: - Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes and streamline BI workflows. - Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Microsoft DevOps. - Utilize Azure Fabric to manage and scale applications in the cloud environment effectively. 6. SAS Development and Troubleshooting: - Develop SAS programs and scripts for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting. - Troubleshoot issues with existing SAS processes and optimize performance for efficiency. - Collaborate with SAS users to understand requirements and provide effective solutions. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. - Proven experience in migrating Cognos, Tableau, and SAS to Power BI. - Strong proficiency in Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, SQL, Azure concepts, and SAS. - Experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services). - Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, particularly Microsoft DevOps. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
