Type 24+ months with potential to extend Location Alexandria, VA (Hybrid (95% remote, 5% onsite) Work Arrangement: Initial 12 months remote Subsequent 12 months onsite as needed Job Description: Client is seeking experienced Backend Java Developers to join our dynamic team for a long-term project. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in Java and J2EE, along with extensive experience in various backend technologies and tools. The role involves working on a complex application with a focus on backend development, integrating with various systems, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain backend components using Java and J2EE. Design and implement robust and scalable RESTful APIs. Work with Oracle databases and SQL for data management and retrieval. Utilize Linux/Unix environments for application deployment and maintenance. Integrate Hibernate for ORM solutions. Implement and manage applications using Spring Boot framework. Develop frontend components using Angular 8 or the latest version. Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, including the creation of Docker images. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. Key Skills and Qualifications: 5-6 years of experience in backend development. Strong proficiency in Java and J2EE. Experience with Oracle databases and SQL. Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments. Hands-on experience with Hibernate and Spring Boot. Knowledge of Angular 8 or the latest version. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Docker images. Familiarity with cloud technologies.
