| Position: Python API Developer (GraphQL, AWS) Location: Richmond, VA Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Python-based APIs utilizing GraphQL for efficient data querying and manipulation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions. Implement secure and scalable APIs on AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance. Optimize API performance through profiling, tuning, and troubleshooting. Integrate third-party services and platforms to enrich functionality and user experience. Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to uphold code quality and maintainability standards. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in API development, GraphQL, and AWS services. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience 8+ years of experience in Python development, with a focus on building APIs. Strong knowledge of GraphQL and its ecosystem, including schema design, queries, and mutations. Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and IAM. Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and version control (Git). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
