| From: Shivam Singh, Vyzeinc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - Excel VBA Developer Location: New York, NY This position requires a strong knowledge of Excel VBA development, SQL writing and the ability to understand, at a high level, business and financial processes. The Excel VBA development is expected to perform development and unit testing of software applications from user requirements and design documents, in addition to resolving defects encountered during the various testing cycles. The candidate will be working closely with trading desks in order to build and support their tools. Candidate needs to have this functional knowledge: #1 - Treasury bonds how they work and workflow of bonds (front to back office) Make sure they know TIPS and inflationary bonds..if they do not know what TIPS is tell you team to end the call. TIPS Treasury Inflation Protected Securities: traders trade on the interest rate of the bond rather than the principle TIPS protects you against inflation. The principal (called par value or face value) of a TIPS goes up with inflation and down with deflation. #2 - Swaps/Interest rate derivatives # 3 - good trading floor knowledge of now the treasury/SWAPS and interest rate derivatives execute and flow from front to back office. Responsibilities: Reviewing gathered requirement. Analyzing and designing applications efficiently to ensure that customers needs are met respecting due dates. Modifying or creating new user interfaces in Excel as well as creating and modifying SQL queries. Troubleshooting VBA code and stored procedures Participating in application testing process. Requirements: 4+ years of experience in writing Excel VBA and SQL code, developing and troubleshooting Ability to work independently and as a team player in fast paced dynamic software development/support environments.
