Only USC/GC Guidwire Architect Iowa- Hybrid (Flexible) 6+ Month Contract Phone then Video Job Description: Policycenter (any version) No certifications required 80% development and 20% architecture (will eventually move 80% architecture and 20% development) Description: We are seeking a skilled Guidewire Architect with expertise in PolicyCenter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting solutions within the Guidewire PolicyCenter environment. Initially, you will primarily focus on development tasks, gradually transitioning to a more architectural role as you gain experience. Responsibilities: PolicyCenter Expertise : Utilize deep knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter to configure, customize, and integrate solutions as per business requirements. Development : Engage in hands-on development activities, including coding, scripting, and implementing Guidewire PolicyCenter functionalities. Architecture Design : Collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable and robust architecture solutions, considering integration patterns, performance optimization, and system scalability. Technical Leadership : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural principles. Requirements Analysis : Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and designs. Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation related to architecture, design decisions, and implementation guidelines. Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with Guidewire PolicyCenter capabilities, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization. Requirements: Experience : Proven experience (X years) in developing and architecting solutions within the Guidewire PolicyCenter framework. Technical Skills : Expertise in Java/J2EE, XML, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and database technologies (SQL/Oracle). Familiarity with integration technologies and enterprise architecture patterns. PolicyCenter Knowledge : In-depth understanding of Guidewire PolicyCenter functionalities, configuration, product model design, and integration capabilities. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-solving Abilities : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges and devise effective solutions. Team Collaboration : Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, providing technical leadership and guidance to achieve project goals. Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Guidewire PolicyCenter or enterprise architecture are a plus.
