Title- ServiceNow Developer Client- HealthPartners Location- Hybrid- MN/IA/WI - Locals only Duration-6+ Months Visa- USC, GC Managers Note: Contract to hire Location: 5 state area Overview: Been on ServiceNow platform since 2011. This is the 4 th dev on the team, 3 admins, SM and a PO. We have a few applications, service mapping, event management, etc.. We want to explore more of the AI opportunities that we have license for. We are implementing hardware asset management. We have an employee center, old legacy IT GRC, and service portfolio management applications. We are also implementing virtual agents. This dev would be supporting and development within all of these applications. Will be able to take on the dev stories, research solutions, partner with others in IT. Directly support customers on incidents where the other team aren't able to resolve them. We have many external integrations, must be familiar with APIs. Team fit is important. Must be able to work with other well in the team and outside of the team. Must be able to create solutions for enhancements. Must be aware of security as it is vital to the organization. On call schedule: This person will handle secondary on call on a rotating schedule with the other devs. We don't get many afterhours or weekend requests. Modules that are preferred: We have a few devs that are really high level with ITOM and discovery. That has been a consistent area of frustration getting everything done and organized. So that could be helpful. Virtual agents experience would also be helpful. Certifications: System Admin is mandatory System Developer is nice to have. Must Have Skills: Must be able to know how the application works, we need a stable platform that is easy to upgrade. If their go-to dev move is to immediately script and customize, that probably won't be a good fit. Problem solving Interview: 1 st with Kip and PO 2 nd with team members of the dev team ************************************************************************************************************************************* The ServiceNow Developer provides and coordinates operational support and development of ServiceNow. The position's responsibilities include platform maintenance and administration, installing plug-ins as needed, partnering with ServiceNow customers and users, providing metrics reporting and statistics, trouble-shooting issues with the vendor, developing solutions that may require scripting to meet customer requirements, mentoring teammates, analyzing the impact of upgrades to current and new functionality, resolving upgrade conflicts, and custom application development. Required Qualifications 6+ years of Information Technology experience BA degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related field; OR 4 years of computer programming experience 4+ years of ServiceNow platform experience 4+ years of experience with JavaScript and integrations with external applications and/or systems Certified ServiceNow System Administrator Certified ServiceNow Application Developer Strong understanding of system infrastructure and ServiceNow best practices Solid ability to configure and integrate proposed changes to the current infrastructure Skilled at creating and modifying user interface policies, scripts, and scheduled jobs Strong understanding of ServiceNow tables and ability to create table extensions/forms/views Strong demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Visio Strong experience writing and comprehending technical documentation and business documentation Experience with developing, scripting, or modifying workflow routines with JavaScript Excellent communication skills in technical and non-technical vernacular Excellent technical writing and documenting abilities Experience participating on project teams from initiation through successful implementation and acceptance of application changes Understanding of Agile methodology Excellent problem solving skills and analytical capabilities Able to be on-call 24X7 in areas of expertise Preferred Qualifications ITIL Foundations certification or practitioner level certification in one process management ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Discovery ServiceNow Virtual Agent Schedule/Location: M-F; Days May work remotely but seeking local candidates for occasional onsite meetings and/or future FTE conversion. Accountabilities: Assesses, tests, and implements ServiceNow enhancements and manages or coordinates maintenance activities and implementations of new applications within the platform Documents current data flow and the relationships between software and hardware while noting dependencies and hardware requirements Reviews vendor updates and schedules; aligning changes to service requests; initiating change management activity Partners with vendors to ensure issue resolution, assess upgrades and patches, communicate potential issues, and coordinate upgrades and patches Analyzes user requests, provides work estimates, timelines, and potential liabilities for larger changes Reviews and implements enhancement requests; evaluating application, process and documentation impacts, coordinating upgrades, and ensuring smooth transitions May create or assist in the creation of training materials for new applications and upgrades Maintains compliance to Service Management processes and procedures; responding to support requests & incidents Develops user interface policies, data policies, business rules, ACL's, and scripting Audits changes for compliance to policies, procedures, and architectural standards Mentors and tutors Associate and Intermediate ServiceNow Developers.
