In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance APIs while also ensuring the optimal performance and scalability of our database infrastructure. If you have a passion for Python, a deep understanding of API design, and expertise in database management, we want to hear from you. **Key Responsibilities:** * **API Development:** * Design, build, and test robust, well-documented, and scalable APIs using Python and relevant frameworks (Django/Flask/FASTAPI). * Ensure API security and compliance with best practices. * Integrate APIs with both front-end and back-end systems. * Optimize API performance for speed and reliability. * **Database Management:** * Define and manage database objects (tables, views, stored procedures) to maintain data integrity and optimize performance. * Write efficient SQL and NoSQL queries. * Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues. * **Capacity Management & Monitoring:** * Develop and maintain Python scripts to collect and analyze capacity-related metrics (CPU, memory, disk, JVM, load balancing, etc.). * Create informative dashboards in Grafana and other visualization tools to monitor system health and identify potential bottlenecks. * Proactively manage capacity to ensure system stability and meet performance SLAs. * **Collaboration:** * Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless API integration. * Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment and infrastructure management. * Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing. **Qualifications & Skills:** * **Essential:** * 6-8+ years of professional experience in Python development. * Strong expertise in API design, development, and integration. * In-depth knowledge of relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases. * Experience with capacity planning and performance optimization of systems. * Proven ability to create dashboards using Grafana or similar tools. * Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or similar). * Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure) and containerization (Kubernetes). * Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills. * **Desirable:** * Experience with popular Python frameworks (Django, Flask, FASTAPI). * Familiarity with RESTful API design principles. * Experience using version control systems (Git). **Keywords:** Python, API, REST, SQL, NoSQL, Azure, Kubernetes, Capacity Planning, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Performance Optimization, Django, Flask, FASTAPI Keywords: New York Need Senior Python API Developer- Capacity Management Focus [email protected] |
