| Role: 742640-VA-DGS-Business Analyst 4 Location: Richmond, Virginia (Need local) The Virginia Dept. of General Services (DGS), Division of Engineering and Building (DEB), is looking for a Business Analyst with process improvement experience to assist with its Building Information Tracking System(BITS) Modernization efforts. This position is primarily responsible for business analysis, process improvement, and requirements documentation of DEB business processes that will inform the design and development of systems for BITS Modernization efforts. The selected candidate in this position will work closely with stakeholders, DEB Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), DEB Agency customers(Agencies), and DGS, Information Systems and Services (ISS), development teams. The Business Analyst will report to the Business Owner to ensure business requirements, enhancements, modifications, and newly identified business initiatives are thoroughly documented for successful implementation of Information Technology solution(s). This position should expect to work between30 and 40 hours per week. Required/Desired Skills Skill Required /Desired Amount of Experience Experience in system design and development, with a focus on process improvement and business and technical requirements gathering Required 7 Years Experience documenting workflow processes Required 7 Years Experience developing test plans, use cases, and performing quality assurance validation, user acceptance testing, and regression testing Required 7 Years Experience in the development of training materials and conducting user training Required 7 Years Knowledge of building and construction management systems including compliance, budgeting, and permitting workflows and practices Highly desired 5 Years IT application/systems development and/or management experience Required 7 Years Project admin experience in commercial/institutional construction Highly desired 5 Years Knowledge of public construction project terminologies, permitting, and procurement standards Highly desired 5 Years Questions No. Question Question1 Commonwealth of Virginia security policies prohibit the use of offshore IT contractors.
