Work You'll Do/Responsibilities: Implement and maintain backend services using Java. Liaise with Product Strategy and Product Team leadership to understand Roadmap priorities, provide guidance on the best technical solution for initiatives and optimal team resources to align against said initiatives Collaborate across team members to produce loosely coupled, highly maintainable backend systems. Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, iterate functionality, and contribute to the overall success of the product. Plan, estimate, and prioritize work in a remote, distributed team environment. Required Qualifications: 8+ years of years of experience in backend software development, preferably using Java in Agile SDLC Proficient in relational databases (MariaDB/MySQL preferred). Proficient with in-memory data-stores (Redis, Memcached). Proficient in building and scaling REST API, utilizing frameworks such as SpringBoot. Proficient with GraphQL services (Apollo). Strong organizational and analytical skills. Strong knowledge of Hibernate, Spring and JUnit frameworks Proficient in microservice architecture at scale. Experience with pub-sub and queue-based messaging systems (Kafka, Redis). Excellent experience in troubleshooting and debugging backend services Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
